2012: Meteors holding a new type of mineral simply called Zeather fell on The United States, China, Japan, Greece, Ireland and Egypt. This mineral was just the thing we needed to upgrade technology centuries ahead. What was once Science Fiction is now fact.

2026: Giant, man shaped Mechanical Armors known as Terra-Gods , have been around for ten years. They are each named after an old pagan god or goddess.
Halloween of that year Earth was invaded without warning or cause. We call them Nazgul after the creatures from the Lord of the Rings, due to their black cloaks. These evil beings are human shaped, the are all lanky and long limbed. The Nazgul pilot their own insect-like bio-mecha.
After a month of war, Humanity retreats from the planet.
